Tropical Depression Thirteen forms in the Bay of Campeche
At 10.00 a.m. the centre of Tropical Depression Thirteen was located near latitude 19.0
degrees north and longitude 94.1 degrees west or about 220 kilometres east of Veracruz,
Mexico.
The depression is moving toward the west-northwest near 16 km/h and this general motion is expected to continue for the next day or so. On this forecast track, the centre will be approaching the coast of Mexico late tonight or early Tuesday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 55 km/h, with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next 24 hours and this system is forecast to become a tropical storm prior to landfall.
Tropical Depression Thirteen is not a threat to Jamaica.
