  • Planning and implementing effective Public Relations and Communications campaigns and for the timely delivery of information for all Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) funded programmes
  • Maintaining effective lines of communication internally and with external agencies (building goodwill and mutually beneficial relationships with businesses, community groups and media personnel
  • Liaising with IDB Programme Unit's Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement Officer, Financial Analyst and others to supply information on projects
  • Developing and implementing proactive programmes aimed at maintaining a sound public image of the NWC
  • Ensuring that the NWC establishes and maintains high and positive visibility in the communities are kept informed of the NWC's programmes, achievements, contributions and viewpoints
  • Developing an efficient system for measuring the effectiveness of the Public relations Programme and were necessary takes appropriate action to effect adjustments
  • Keeping up to date with all changes and developments which may affect the NWC and the delivery of services to its customers
  • Preparing draft speeches for the President, Chairman and Board members, Programme Manager and the Projects Managers as required
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelors Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of three (3) years working experience in the field of Public Relations
  • Sound knowledge of NWCs strategic objectives and goals, Public Relations strategies and programmes, Marketing principles and practices, and advertising and promotions
  • Sound knowledge of computer applications (Word, Powerpoint and Excel)
