Quality Assurance Technician

  • To assure the integrity of food safety and quality management systems in the production processes 
  • Monitor to ensure that regulatory, customers and plant standards are implemented and maintained. 
  • To work on shift, occasionally on weekends
  • BSc. Degree in Biochemistry/Food Chemistry or related discipline,
  • Sound Knowledge of ISO, Quality Assurance, Process Improvement, HACCP and other related food safety management systems;
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices, hygiene and sanitation principles;
  • Knowledge of product development techniques;
  • Experienced in conducting audits;
  • Well-developed interpersonal, communications, analytical, diagnostic and time management skills;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Thorough knowledge of meat processing would be advantageous;
  • Minimum of of three (3) year’s relevant production experience, with an understanding of product safety and regulations would be an asset.
