* CENTRE FOR HOTEL AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT (BAHAMAS)
  • To teach undergraduate and graduate courses 
  • Take part in curriculum development
  • Be involved in interdisciplinary collaboration 
  • Develop innovative research and advise and supervise students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • To make a significant contribution to the department's research output 
  • To undertake an appropriate teaching and administrative load 
  • To take part in outreach activities.
  • Coordinate programme delivery at the graduate and undergraduate levels
  • Ability to conduct academic research and prepare content for publication
  • Teach courses in the Digital Media Production Programme in both the Mona and Western Jamaica Campuses
  • Design new programme in keeping with changes in digital technology and expanding departmental demands
  • Supervision and management of supporting staff
  • Organising of and participation in conferences, seminars and Technical demonstration sessions in the area of study
Qualifications:
  • Must have a postgraduate degree in Hospitality or Business Management. 
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have a PhD in either of the mentioned areas. 
  • Must also possess considerable teaching experience at the tertiary level and/or relevant experience at a senior level in the hospitality industry in the areas of Accounting or Information Technology. 
  • To teach undergraduate and graduate courses and take part in curriculum development in the following areas: Convention Sales Planning and Management, Hospitality Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Physical Plant Management, Quality Service Management and Entrepreneurship, Food Service Administration
  • Excellent communication skills are essential 
  • Strong commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship, service and technology application in the classroom. 
  • Must possess a genuine interest in helping students
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team
