* Sav-La-Mar/ Santa Cruz Regional Office - (2)
  • To oversee the registration of vital events to facilitate the achievement of the Agencyís mission, goals and objectives.
  • Registration fees collected.
  • Certificates of registration issued
  • Vital events registered.
  • Weekly/monthly performance reports produced
  • All vital events are registered.
  • Ensure bedside registration is effected for all hospital/birthing centres.
  • Work volume targets, daily weekly and monthly deadlines are met.
  • Confidentiality and integrity are exercised.
  • Weekly/monthly reports are submitted in accordance with agreed time scales.
  • Registration occurs in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
  • Accurate records are maintained and kept secure.
  • Ability to work on Saturdays/Sundays as well as public holidays
  • Register all reported/identified vital events.
  • Issue Certificate of Registrations and Burial Orders in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
  • Collect appropriate fees for registration services and lodge.
  • Submit request for books and stationery to ensure adequate supply for registration.
  • Deliver all completed registration books (counterfoils) to Regional Office in accordance with agreed timescales.
  • Perform other related functions assigned from time to time by the Registration Officer.
  • Effect amendments to vital event records.
  • Issue Burial Orders.
  • Issue Certificate of Registration.
  • Liaise with Hospital Supervisors of maternity ward for approval to access ward to interview mothers to effect registrations
Qualifications:
  • A Diploma in Management Studies or equivalent qualification/training
  • Five (5) subjects at GCE Oílevel/CXC General Proficiency level including English Language and Mathematics or Accounts.
  • One (1) yearís related work experience
  • Good knowledge on Agency policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Good knowledge of records management systems.
  • Detail conscious.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer applications and systems.
