* Cashier (Grade 5)
  • To receive and process all monetary intake and ensure its safe custody in accordance with the Agency’s financial obligations.
  • Fees collected.
  • Cash receipts issued.
  • Lodgements prepared and sent to the bank.
  • Cashbooks updated
  • Fees are paid and lodged in accordance with the Agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Utilize information manuals and adhere to the Agency’s Accounting policies and procedures.
  • Confidentiality and integrity are exercised
  • Ascertain rate of exchange for the day in respect of foreign currencies.
  • Collect cash and secure in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
  • Issue receipts for all cash received.
  • Reconcile on a daily basis all receipts against lodgement.
  • Prepare daily lodgements and submit to Supervisor for approval.
  • Maintain cash in accordance with agency financial policies and procedures.
  • Monitor queue and inform Supervisor when appropriate.
  • Prepare weekly intake report including revenue collected and applications intake.
  • Promote the image of the Agency by offering excellent customer service.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned from time to time.
  • Issue receipts.
  • Prohibit access of unauthorised persons to cashier area.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Diploma in Business Administration/Management Studies
  • Five (5) GCE O/Level or CXC subjects at the General Proficiency level, including English Language and Mathematics.
  • Certificate in cashiering or equivalent qualification/training.
  • One (1) year related work experience.
