  • Accountable to the Board of Directors for the overall achievement of company’s objectives by initiating and implementing short, medium and long-term strategies, action plans and targets in line with the vision, mission and objectives of the company.
  • Overall responsibility for all functional and operational aspects of the business
  • Developing and directing the implementation of company’s strategic plan;
  • Ensuring that the company is operated on commercial and professional principles and that its corporate objectives are pursued.
  • Serving as the primary spokesperson and representative in the marketing and promotion of the company’s activities
  • Ensuring proper security and maintenance of the property and facilities
  • Ongoing analysis of the company’s financial viability and undertaking appropriate measures to increase revenues and monitor and reduce costs in relation to the company’s operations and services provided.
  • Conducting extensive stakeholder consultations (with staff, breeders, owners, jockeys, grooms, trainers, GOJ and all other interested parties) to ensure the promotion of a culture that reflects the organization’s values and encourages consistently outstanding performance.
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related discipline with ten (10) years experience at the senior management level
  • In-depth knowledge of the Racing Industry would be a distinct asset
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Should have a proven track record in driving transformational change within a company or large department
  • Must be an effective team leader and team player that has the ability to build successful teams, delegate responsibility and develop employee talents
  • Experience in implementation and use of an effective performance management system will be a distinct asset
