Database Developer/Administrator : Careers

Provide technical expertise int he research, design, development, testing and maintenance of database applications to facilitate the regulatory process, in accordance with the requirements of the Office
Make recommendations for upgrades of all database systems as deemed necessary
Provide technical expert assistance to end-user support, and ensure compatibility and efficiency of new and updated database systems applications through on-going systems monitoring
Design and produce systems documentation that communicates both technical and non-technical information in an easily understood manner
Organize and conduct user training sessions as necessary

B.Sc. in Computer Science, or its equivalent
At least 3-5 years of demonstrated database development and administration experience
Knowledgeable in process, system and database design methodologies, such as Entity-relation, Object Oriented and Semantic Data Modelling
Fully knowledgeable in all aspects of relational database design, installation and administration
High degree of technical expertise to work independently on all elements of design projects
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
Strong analytical/diagnostic and trouble-shooting skills
Experience in the use of, and development in HTML and its variants, XML, visual Basic, JAVA, ASP.NET, C++, Windows, UNIX or LINUX
