* Credit Adjudication & Credit Training
  • Manage a team of Credit Adjudicators to ensure timely, high quality adjudication across all areas of the bank.
  • Reviewing completed Credit Applications for accuracy, content, interest rate spreads and adequacy of security as well as conformance with the Banks Credit Policy and Procedures.
  • Review and provide Credit approval on all Products that require Credit approvals, ensure full compliance with BOJʼs requirements.
  • Review overdrawn current accounts to ensure that encroachments/excesses are not allowed or kept to a minimum and that appropriate corrective action or, temporary credit approvals, are obtained.
  • Have prepared and dispatched all required reports to Senior Management &/ or Credit Committee in a timely manner.
  • Ensure The Credit Policy Manual is comprehensive and up to date at all times and relevant reviews are done in a timely fashion.
  • Ensure all Credit Products are appropriately documented and reviewed in a timely manner.
  • Establish a Credit Training Manual which will deliver a complete guideline for Credit training and development in FGB
  • Make recommendations for Credit Approval Limits based on Credit analytical capabilities.
  • Recommend and disseminate Credit Training throughout the organization as required.
  • Required to prepare and deliver credit risk training to personnel in credit organization across the bank.
Qualifications:
  • First Degree in Management Studies, Finance or equivalent, with at least 5 years experience in Credit Risk Management and Approval.
  • Detailed knowledge of consumer/commercial/corporate lending practices and credit analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess lending risks.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Banking Act 1992, the Banking Amendment Act 1997 and the BOJ Regulations regarding Credit Classification, Provisioning and Non-accrual Requirements and any other related Guidelines.
  • Well developed communication skills, oral and written.
  • Interpersonal skills to negotiate and work effectively with customers in structuring Credit Solutions to match customers individual needs and requirements and vary interpersonal approach to each situation while achieving the Bankʼs objectives.
  • Excellent up to date knowledge of computer applications used by the Bank.
