Description:
  • Assist in administering the staffing functions of the Department.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date leave records (vacation, departmental and sick)
  • Participates in all activities associated with the recruitment, selection, orientation and promotion of staff.
  • Generates personnel related documents for the Department e.g. staff listings and attendance reports.
  • Assist s with the administration of staff benefits (Health, Life and Pension plans)
  • Creates, maintains and processes personal records and validity of credentials;
  • Assists in the leadership and management of the HR Unit to achieve its goals and objectives.
  • Assist s in the organization and delivery of training programmes throughout the Corporation;
  • Provides general administrative and technical support in accordance with established legislation, procedures and standards.
Qualifications:
  • A first Degree in Human Resource Management or Management Studies or equivalent qualification
  • At least three (3) years experience in Human Resource Management at a supervisory level
  • Good knowledge of governmental policies, practices and procedures on general administration and financial management, including applicable laws and regulations.
  • Good knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Staff Orders, Labour Laws and Industrial Relations practices
  • Excellent knowledge of Human Resource Management policies and practices.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Working Knowledge of the HRMIS package will be a distinct advantage.
  • Computer literacy Microsoft Office Suite
