Accounting Clerk

  • To perform a variety of general accounting support tasks in the accounting department
  • Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable).
  • Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs (SAGE MAS 200)
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports.
  • Reconcile records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.
  • Recording of monthly credit card expense transactions
  • Assisting in major bank reconciliations
  • Matching and verifying cash expenses.
  • Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Will be required to work on weekends and public holidays, if when necessary.
  • ACCA Degree in Accounting or an Associate Degree in Accounting
  • Three (3) years’ experience in accounting
  • Excellent communication skills (written, and verbal)
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational,must be detailed oriented and highly organized
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task is an asset.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced team professional environment
