The Jamaica Constabulary Force is inviting applications from suitably qualified Attorneys-at-Law to be engaged on a Contractual/Gratuity basis to perform the following functions:

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Commissioner of Police the incumbent is responsible for preparing Case Files to be presented to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in an effort to reduce the backlog of cases within the Police Force. Further, efforts in building capacity within the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) will be advance through training/coaching sessions.

Strategic Objectives (statement of intent of what the post seeks to achieve)

1. To provide legal support to the Jamaica Constabulary Force ensuring Case Files are thorough And ready for transmission to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
2. To strengthen the JCF's investigative capabilities through capacity building effort to include training, seminars and other related activities.
3. To develop partnership and collaboration with other legal departments and organizations mandated to investigate organized crime and corruption
4. To lead and manage the team in the achievement of the above-mentioned strategic objectives. 


1. Bachelor of Law Degree (LLB) and Certificate in Legal Education, Practising Certificate from General Legal Council;
2. Seven to ten (7-10) years' experience in the area of Criminal and Civil Law;
3. Member of the Jamaican Bar Association.
