A food distribution company based in Clarendon is seeking to
identify a candidate for the position of Accounting Officer (Accounts Payable).

Duties and Responsibilities

• Post all invoices from local and Foreign Suppliers
• Process all payments as invoices are received
• Prepare all cheques and post to the System
• Compile and maintain documents and records of all transactions
• Handle accounting inquiries from the vendors
• Manage aged payments and inform vendors regarding payments
• Filing duties associated with the day to day accounting tasks completed
• Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
• Prepare Audit Schedules
• Assist the accounts department in preparing account statements and financial reports
• Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written)
• Competency in MS Office and knowledge of Accounting Software
• Sound Analytic and problem solving skills
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Must be a team player, co-operative and flexible individual
• Should be able to work long hours or weekend(s)
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or CAT Level 3
• Have at least two (2) years experience in similar position
