Description: Cornwall College is an A grade institution and seeks to identify a suitable candidate to fill the following post to continue build on the school's tradition of achieving excellence.The Principal is required to assume duties on September 01, 2018.

Summary of Position:

The principal will be responsible for providing effective, inclusive leadership, management and direction for the planning and execution of all aspects of the school's operations in conformity with the Board of Management's policies and the Ministry of Education's Act or Regulations.

As a visionary, he/she will have the responsibility of liaising with relevant agencies tho the form and maintain strategic alliances and partnerships and provide academic and professional guidance and leadership in advancing the institutions goals. He/she will be requires to interact and collaborate with the Board of Management, facilities, staff, students, relevant agencies and the community to maintain a school environment that maximize student centered learning, academic and sport performance, social growth, while enhancing the institution's tradition of excellence.

He/she will have direct responsibilities on decision making and administrative authority along with leadership for all aspects of the school's programs including, quality assurance, instructional delivery, student services supervision, performance management for all level of staff, outreach, and public, relations as well as the day to day governance of the institution.

Compensation packages commensurate with qualifications and experience will be in keeping with the Ministry of Education's classification.

  • Master's Degree in Education or related filed from a recognized university Doctoral Degree would be an advantage
  • Trained Teacher's Certification
  • A minimum of five years' experience and a proven track record of senior leadership in education and training institutions
  • Knolwedge of FAA Act and government procedures and policies including procurement guidelines
