QUALITY MANAGER

The Position:

The Quality Manager will be based in Montego Bay and is required to travel intra-island.

Core functions

The successful candidate will be required to:

• Develop and maintain a quality management system based on HACCP principles;
• Conduct frequent spot checks of processes and documentations;
• Visit and audit all locations operated by the Company;
• Ensure that our Food Safety Programme is always in a state of readiness for auditing;
• Perform quality, monitor compliance and perform risk and vulnerability assessments of the company’s procedures;
• Keep abreast of quality related technology, practices and regulations in the marketplace, government agencies and within the aviation industry.

Qualifications:
APPLICANTS MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

• Tertiary level education in Food Services or Institutional Management with training in Sanitation and Hygiene in the food industry.
• Advanced understanding of HACCP/Food Safety Management principles.
• A minimum of three years’ working experience in Quality Assurance/Food Safety Management.
• Well-developed reasoning abilities, analytical and leadership skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Deadline driven with excellent time management skills.
• Have a positive attitude and is willing to work on a flexible schedule.
• High level of computer literacy.
• Excellent team building skills.

Professional qualification

The successful candidate should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution with major in Chemistry or a similar field.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ related experience.
