TheWorthy Park Estate is looking for an outgoing, dependable individual to lead our guests through the exciting journey of the rum making process – from the growing of sugar cane to the production of molasses to the distillation, aging, blending and bottling of our rums. The Tour Guide Supervisor supports the Management team and other staff as designated. If you consider yourself a self-starter, an enthusiastic performer who can educate and inspire our guests, this may be the job for you!

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Act as the liaison between the Tour Company and Worthy Park Estate
• Co-ordinate and communicate the tour reservations with all relevant parties (i.e. Co-Managing Director, Export Sales Manager, Local Sales and Marketing Manager, Distillery Manager, etc.)
• Working with the marketing team to manage on site press, corporate visitors, distributor visits, social groups or educational groups
• Perform opening/closing duties
• Offer a warm, open welcome to all our visitors
• Host for a 1.5-2 hour tour. This involves, but not limited to:
• Introduction of Worthy Park
• Introduce opening video
• Escort guests to Distillery
• Lead tasting of Worthy Park product lines and educating guests about our spirits portfolio, awards and international distribution
• Facilitate Questions and Answers from guests
• Demonstrate how to make our signature cocktails
• Handle sales transactions
• Light cleaning and tidying up of the Visitors Center
• Light maintenance tasks
• Data entry and administrative duties
• Respond to guest enquiries
• Maintaining Inventory of Retail Items
• Provide monthly reports
• Lead a team of at least 2 support staff

Hours:

Full Time: Minimum of 40 hours per week but will vary depending on season. Days of work will also be flexible depending on season and business levels.

Qualifications:
Requirements:

• Excellent customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Bachelors/First degree preferably in Marketing, Commerce, Education, or Hospitality Management.
• Minimum 2 years related work experience
• Stellar communication and interpersonal skills
• Outgoing and engaging personality, articulate and charismatic
• Comfortable public speaking to groups
• Anticipate guests needs
• Ability to offer a high level of hospitality to all guests
• At ease hosting groups from 2 persons up to 30+
• Ability to manage large groups of people
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint is recommended
• Working knowledge or willingness to learn about craft spirits, cocktails, and distillation process
• Proficient in English; Bilingual is a plus
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to lift 50 pounds or more
• Able to work in outdoor weather conditions
• Available weekends and holidays if required on occasion.
• Ideally located in the Lluidas Vale/Ewarton area
• Possess and maintain a valid Jamaican driver’s license
• Pass a police background check
