A fast moving Medium-sized Distribution and Processing Company in Clarendon seeks to identify a suitably qualified individual for the position of Human Resource Manager. This management level position requires a vibrant and well organized individual who will provide our Company with exceptional and high- end results. The incumbent will oversee the day-to-day operations of the HR and Administrative Department:


• Coordinating and implementing designated staff welfare initiatives
• Development and documentation of HR policies and practices
• Maintain proper employees records
• Recruitment and selection activities
• Oversee disciplinary procedures for breaches of the Company’s Code of Conduct, Rules and Regulations
• Job analyses and the preparation of job descriptions
• Review of timesheets before submission to Payroll
• Ensure that the company complies with Labour Laws and Regulations

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or a business related discipline with some study of Human Resources
• At least three years’ experience in a senior HR role.
• Strong knowledge of the Jamaican Labour Laws and Regulations


To be successful in this position, the incumbent must have:

• Knowledge of human resources policies, practices and procedures, and employee relations initiatives
• Experience with human resources statistical concepts, methods, and data collection (experience with SPSS advantageous)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent time management, organizational and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated expertise in MS Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Ability to pay keen attention to detail
• Professionalism, tact and diplomacy
