Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled, experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our growing organization. In this position, you will play a key role in the funding strategy, long-term financial security of our organization and accountable for creating journal entries and assembling supporting documentation, as well as for tracking the contents of accounts, creating portions of the financial statements, and writing related disclosures.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• AR entries - sales order and manual (Invoice and Credit Memo)
• Petty Cash Entries - Yuan, JMD and USD
• Journal entries
• Upload Fortnightly Payroll Journals
• Prepare and enter Monthly Salaries Journal
• Bank Reconciliation - NCB JMD, NCB USD, BNS JMD, BNS USD, Fixed Deposit
• Closing of AR Module
• Cane Issue and Receipts - Inventory Module
• Miscellaneous Issue ρ for items sold (Inventory Module)
• Analysis Accounts and Prepare schedules for Audit
• Prepare GCT Returns each month
• Customer Reconciliation between Sub ledger & Sales Department
• Enter and Apply Receipts to AR Invoices
• Reconcile AR Sub ledger to General Ledger
• Prepare AR Aging Report
• Prepare Revenue Report
• Filling
• Performed all other duties as assigned and required

Qualifications:
Required qualifications and competencies:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounts, Finance or related field
• 3 years relevant experience
• Must have good organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively in a high-volume, fast paced environment
• Strong initiative, must be detailed and accurate
• Must be analytical and a team player
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Oracle Software
