RESEARCH SCIENTIST, FOOD PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Description:
The Research Scientist facilitates research activities which result in the development of economically feasible value-added products from natural resources.

Key Functions:

Writing of Concept papers and project proposals
Designs experimental plans and conducts experiments
Analysis of scientific data
Conducts literature reviews to enhance research work
Prepares technical papers and/or articles for peer reviewed journals
Interacts with Ministries, Agencies and Associations for exchange and dissemination of information and the identification, development and implementation of projects.
Qualifications:
Qualification and Experience:

MSc./M.Phil Degree in Chemistry, Natural Products or an equivalent area
BSc. in Natural Sciences, major in Food Science or Biological Science.
Proficiency in software applications, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
Training in Project Management/Proposal Writing/ Technical Reports
Three (3) years relevant post qualification experience.
