Wolmer’s Trust High School for Girls, 2A Marescuax Road, Kingston 5, Jamaica is seeking to engage the services of a Canteen Concessionaire, to provide canteen services, to its staff and students. The successful Concessionaire is expected to provide a variety of meals for breakfast and lunch that are healthy, tasty and appealing.
The successful caterer to whom the concession will be granted is expected to:
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the Ministry of Education’s nutritional guidelines.
• Manage the canteen at the location and provide suitable meals for the students and staff.
• Employ and train the requisite staff members at own cost, so that they offer courteous and professional service.
• Ensure that all workers of the canteen have the requisite food handler’s permit.
• Prepare tasty and appealing dishes on a daily basis, offering as much variety as possible, being mindful of persons with special diets.
• Prepare and distribute meals in a timely manner, with particular attention being given to the allotted times for breakfast and lunch.
• Purchase all raw material and food items needed for the efficient running of the canteen at own cost.
• Guarantee that all staff employed by the Concessionaire abides by the rules and regulations of the school, where applicable.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the canteen and ensure utensils used in the preparation and supply of meals are properly washed.
