The post holder must be an accountant and/or insolvency practitioner accountant with a minimum of ten (10) years’ post qualification experience inclusive of five (5) years’ relevant insolvency/liquidation experience This experience should include at least five (5) years’ of relative supervisory experience. Additionally, it is not required, but recommended that the post holder have an extensive experience and understanding of applicable laws including; the Companies Act 1981, the Companies (Winding-Up) Rules 1982, the Bankruptcy Act 1989 and the Bankruptcy Rules 1990. The post holder must possess a professional qualification in accountancy and be a full member of an internationally recognized professional body, Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, etc., and/or Bachelors in Law (LLB). Consideration will be given to applicants who holds a degree in law with a minimum of ten (10) years’ relevant insolvency/liquidation experience. This experience should include at least five (5) years’ of relative supervisory experience. Applicants with prior insolvency, audit, compliance, and investigation work experience in a government setting, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities will have a distinct advantage. A Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (passing the Joint Insolvency Examinations Board examinations) is highly desirable. This post is offered on a three-year contract.
