Qualifications: NVQ-J Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation Certification as a licensed Industrial Electrician is an asset. Experience: 3 years or more practical electrical maintenance and installation of industrial equipment in a Plant manufacturing setting or Minimum 2 years practical applied exposure to electrical maintenance in a Manufacturing Plant setting. Key Competences: Strong commitment to occupational safety standards and practices, good manufacturing practices and high-quality assurance standards. Able to read and interpret electrical schematics with basic knowledge of electrical codes and required testing equipment. Ability to troubleshoot and correct problems on PLCs. Ability to troubleshoot and program Variable frequency drive (VFD) / Variable speed drives (VSD) Able to electrically troubleshoot, analyze and identify root causes, repair and / or assist with the re-building of electrical - mechanical, hydraulic and /or pneumatic and electronic based equipment or components and address related malfunctions on Production equipment. Working knowledge of preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance practices and procedures within a manufacturing environment. Must be able to work extended hours and weekends regularly / when required.
