Cutting the clutter - one remote for multiple devices![]()
There were times when we were dealing with the clutter of wires running across the floor, now technology has enabled us to go wireless. Controlling devices are a matter of clicking buttons from your remote, but each device, be it in your conference room or office space, needs a separate remote ... a clutter of remotes with an endless stream of buttons for different functions.
The Logitech Harmony 520 universal remote now eliminates this. Function The remote can control up to twelve devices, from video, television and audio equipment, to lights and appliances. The remote is customised and comes with a software CD, which can be installed to create a member login, the step-by-step instructions. Devices To set up the devices, log on to the Logitech website, the online set-up wizard guides are through the process of getting the Harmony to work. There are more than 5,000 manufacturers and over 175,000 devices which can be operated by the Harmony remote. The preferences are automatically saved online; these can be then transferred to the remote via a USB cable. Operation and controls The Activity buttons, such as 'Watch TV' or 'Listen to Music,' allows the convenience to set up the entertainment system. There is a 'Help' button for trouble shooting. Harmony controls your entire entertainment system by creating activities that control groups of devices together. The most frequently used devices can be customised to suit the needs.
