This week is Earthquake Awareness Week. In 1993 Jamaica was struck by an earthquake, which measured 5.4 on the Richter Scale. Located along the southern margin of the Wag Water Fault it affected Kingston, St. Thomas, Clarendon and St. Catherine. Education Matters - Children Are the Future
Minister of Education, Mrs. Maxine Henry Wilson will be Go-Jamaica's online guest on Wednesday 15 January 2003 at 6 p.m. (EST).
This week we have seen two more outside recruitment agencies from the USA and UK again approach our teachers to relocate to their countries. We have also seen no resolution in the current pay discussions taking place between our teachers and the Government. As more teachers decide to 'opt out' of Jamaica - Go-Jamaica.com provides you with the opportunity to ask the Minister in charge of the portfolio questions on the critical subject of Education, Youth and Community.
