Queen Ifrica -Vendor for a dayWith a hot new album bearing the name of the Second City and her hometown, Queen Ifrica visited Montego Bay in St. James, on Friday, July 17, as THE STAR’s celebrity vendor.

The father of the Flamez House family, Tony Rebel and newcomer Fyakin were also in the city as STAR newspaper vendors for the day. The response was immense. If you missed it, check out the latest pictures in THE STAR photo gallery.

Tessa Sanderson, the first British black woman to win an Olympic gold medal Tessa Sanderson was the first British black woman to win an Olympic gold medal. She won the gold medal at the 1984 Olympics in the javelin competition.

Tessa Sanderson was born on March 14, 1956, in Saint Elizabeth, Jamaica. She later became a British citizen.
