Grace McLean has been appointed the new Chief Education Officer.

She replaces Jasper Lawrence who has retired.

The Education Ministry made the announcement in a release last evening.

Mrs. McLean was the Deputy Chief Education Officer for schools’ operations.

She will assume the post of Chief Education Officer on Monday.

Former Principal of the Glenmuir High School in Clarendon, Clement Radcliffe will replace Mrs. McLean as the Deputy Chief Education Officer for schools’ operations.

Mr. Radcliffe will take up that position on January 4 next year.
