Dual citizenship hearing set for April
The case management conference in relation to the election petition brought by Manley Bowen against Shahine Robinson alleging that she has dual citizenship has been set for April 14.
The case was set for hearing today before Justice Kay Beckford in the Supreme Court.
It was put off because attorney Abe Dabdoub said Mr. Bowen had an emergency and could not attend today.
Mr Bowen is contended that Mrs Robinson is not qualified to sit in Parliament because she was a US citizen at the time of her nomination.
This is against the stipulation of the Jamaican constitution.
