Former St Ann mayor to tackle PNP over expulsion

Former St Ann mayor Ivan Anderson says he is not happy with the way he was treated by the People’s National Party (PNP).

However, Mr Anderson says he will wait until after the local government elections to consider his options.

The PNP today released a copy of the letter sent to Mr Anderson informing him that he has been expelled from the party. This comes as the former St Ann mayor was nominated on Monday as an independent candidate to contest the upcoming local government election in the Browns Town division.

The PNP had already chosen businessman Delroy Anthony Redway as its candidate for the March 26 local government poll.

But Mr Anderson is claiming that the selection of Mr Redway as his replacement was not handled in a professional manner.
