The Mount Salem Police says they are following strong leads into this morning’s attacks by gunmen in Branch Hall, Rose Heights, St James which left five people with gunshot injures.

The police say an operation has been launched to go after the attackers.

And the police say they will be maintaining a presence in Rose Heights.

However, investigators declined to release any further information saying the investigation is at a sensitive stage.

It’s reported that about 2 am two men armed with guns entered the party and opened fire on partygoers.

Five persons were shot in the incident.

The gunmen then escaped.

The police were alerted and the injured patrons taken to hospital.

The Mount Salem Police are appealing to anyone with information on this morning’s shooting in Branch Hall to call 119, 811 or 311.
