CAL appoints new GM in Jamaica

Caribbean Airlines (CAL) has named Jamaican Clive Forbes general manager of its operations here.

Forbes brings to the job, an extensive background in general management, business development, sales, marketing and operations having worked for many years at several large Jamaican and Caribbean based corporations in the fields of, telecommunications, food & beverage and transportation including his latest post as General Manager of The Caribbean Shipping Association.

Forbes’ management skills and diverse experience are the right mix to accelerate the growth and development of the airline, said a release from CAL.

Forbes replaces William Rodgers who has been Acting General Manager at the airline since February 2011.

Rodgers has given several decades of service to the airline industry, having also held the post as VP Sales & Marketing for Air Jamaica.

"We thank Rodgers for his tremendous contribution to Caribbean Airlines and regional aviation as a whole," says CAL.
