Jamaica to play Dominican Republic
Jamaica senior men’s basketballers will try to protect their unbeaten run at the 2012 Centrobasket Championship in Puerto Rico today when they face the Dominican Republic.
The Group-B game will start at 5 p.m. Jamaica time.
In the other Group-B game today, Costa Rica and the US Virgin Islands will face off.
There will also be two Group-A games today. Those matches are Panama against the Bahamas and hosts Puerto Rico facing Nicaragua.
The Jamaicans secured their second straight victory yesterday by defeating US Virgin Islands 80-64.
Meanwhile, Jamaica’s Kimani Ffriend suffered a broken nose during the game yesterday and has been ruled out of today’s contest.
The first two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals. They will automatically book a spot to the 2013 International Basketball Federation Americas Championship. |
