The $500,000 dollar bail for prominent Kingston doctor, Lloyd Cole, was today extended when he appeared in court on a charge of illegally performing an abortion.

He was ordered to return to court on July 15.

Dr. Cole was arrested in March.

It’s alleged that he conducted the procedure on a 16-year-old-girl who later experienced complications.

She was taken to a hospital and treated.

Dr. Cole was arrested and charged after investigations by the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse.

He has denied the allegations.
