Jamaica runs season best to qualify for 4x100m final

The Jamaican men's 4x100m relay team qualified for tomorrow's final of the event after winning their heat in a time of 37.38 seconds, a season's best.

The team of Michael Frater, Nesta Carter, Yohan Blake and Kemar Bailey-Cole got the baton safely around to win comfortably.

The Jamaicans finished ahead of Canada in 38.05 and the Netherlands in a time of 38.29. Great Britain who finished second were disqualified for exchanging the baton outside of the zone.

The US men's team ran a national record of 37.38 to win the other heat to qualify for the final. They beat Japan, 38.07, and Trinidad 38.10 into second and third respectively.

The final will be run tomorrow at 3:00 pm.
