Jamaican sprinters Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake will aim to finish the season on a high today, when they compete at the final Diamond League meeting of the year in Brussels.

However, the duo will not compete against each other with world record holder Bolt going in the 100 metres and Blake racing in the 200.

The men’s 100 metres is scheduled to start at 1.45 p.m. Jamaica time and the 200 at 1:55.

Bolt said he is targeting a meet record.

Bolt will face off with four other Jamaicans. They are Kenroy Anderson, 2012 200-metre Diamond League winner Nickel Ashmeade, Kemar Bailey-Cole and Nesta Carter. That race also includes American Ryan Bailey.

The London Olympics double silver medallists Blake will face off with countrymen Warren Weir and Jason Young in the 200 metres.

Seventeen Jamaicans are down to compete.

The 2012 Diamond League winner Kaliese Spencer, Melaine Walker and Ristananna Tracey will be the first Jamaicans on track. They compete in the women’s 400 metre hurdles at 1.05 p.m.

Next on track is London Olympics bronze medal winner Hansle Parchment in the men’s 110-metre hurdles at 1.25 p.m.

Kimberly Williams is down to take part in the women’s triple jump, while Samantha Henry-Robinson and Anneisha McLaughlin compete in the women’s 200-metre dash.

Quarter-milers Allodin Fothergill and Rusheen McDonald are the other Jamaicans down to compete.
