Spencer clocks 53.69 in 400m hurdles to end season
Jamaica’s Kaliese Spencer clocked 53.69s in Brussels to win the 400m hurdles in the final Diamond League event to end her season.
Perri Shakes-Drayton of Great Britain was second in 53.89 and Zuzana Hejnová of the Czech Republic, third.
Melaine Walker was fourth in 54.79
The other Jamaican, Ristananna Tracey was eighth in 56.86
Spencer who had already claimed the diamond going into the last event has now confirmed her status as the top 400m hurdler on the circuit while training partner Melaine Walker and young Racers Club athlete Ristananna Tracey continue to find the going rough.
