The Police Commissioner, Owen Ellington has ordered an investigation into allegations that a mentally ill man, who was taken to the Duhaney Park Police station, has wandered away from the facility.

The man’s parents had reportedly sought the assistance of the police to take him to a medical institution.

The Constabulary Communication Network said the investigation will unearth the facts of the story and determine, if there was any inappropriate action on the part of the police.
