An inmate has been found dead in his cell at the St Catherine Adult Correctional Centre in Spanish Town, St Catherine.

He has been identified as Nigel Gray. He was found hanging in a section of his cell. It is suspected that Gray committed suicide. The police theorise he may have committed the act between last night and early this morning.

The St Catherine North Police are investigating the matter.
