Minister of National Security, Peter Bunting is condemning the killing of Corporal Warren Campbell, who was gunned down outside of his home last night.

Corporal Campbell of the Organised Crime Investigation Division (OCID) was shot dead by gunmen around 8.45 p.m. in Patrick City, St. Andrew.

A statement today said attacks on members of the security forces will not be tolerated.

The national security minister believes that Jamaica is indebted to members of the security forces, who make sacrifices every day to protect and serve.

He is assuring Corporal Campbell’s family and the public that no effort will be spared in bringing the killers to justice.

Bunting said Corporal Campbell is the first policeman on active duty to be gunned down since the start of this year.

The 26-year-old detective corporal, described by his colleagues as hardworking, was attached to the Organised Crime Investigation Division.

He was a member of the Jamaica Constabulary Force for six years.
