Food for the Poor opens Basic School
Food for the Poor has opened the first of the 50 early childhood institutions it intends to build or upgrade in four years.
St Margaret’s Real Success Basic School, located on Wildman Street, in central Kingston, became the first school to be completed, just over three months after the initiative was launched.
Chairman of Food for the Poor Andrew Mahfood says within a week two more schools will be opened in Westmoreland and Manchester.
Following this Mr Mahfood says Food for the Poor will open one school every month for the next 50 months.
He says he hope the 40 students enrolled at Real Succes Basic School will have the best learning experience and that this will be a springboard for their future success.
