The Ministry of Health has named Dr. Michael Coombs as the new Chief Medical Officer.

Dr.Coombs begins his duties as Chief Medical Officer on Friday.

A statement from the Ministry said he previously served as Regional Technical Director for the Southern Regional Health Authority for over 12 years.

He replaces Dr. Eva Lewis Fuller who recently retired.
