The man accused of raping his goddaughter in Mandeville on Thursday is to be questioned by investigators this afternoon.

The police reported last week that the 12-year-old girl was sexually assaulted while the man was taking her home from school.

He was arrested on Friday, after the child told her parents what had happened and they called the police.

Head of Area Three, Assistant Commissioner of Police Derrick Cochrane, said the man, who is a taxi driver, is expected to be charged soon.
