Several issues regarding Jamaica’s borrowing relationship with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are expected to be discussed when the Partnership for Transformation talks resume tomorrow.

The last meeting was held more than a year ago.

Immediate Past President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, Joseph Matalon, said he is encouraged with the progress that has been reported in relation to finalising an agreement with the IMF.

However, he said consensus must be arrived at on several core policy issues in an effort to put the country on a path for growth.

In the meantime, President of the PSOJ, Christopher Zacca is also hoping that the talks will play a significant role in having critical policies implemented.

He says he is also satisfied that a member of the opposition Jamaica Labour Party is down to attend that meeting which will be chaired by the Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller.

Several civil society groups, private sector groups and trade unions will participate in the Partnership for Transformation talks.
