JPS emergency centre activated
The Jamaica Public Service Company Limited (JPS) says it has activated its emergency operations to ensure that it can respond quickly should there be damage to its power delivery infrastructure.
The company’s corporate communication officer, Audrey William says the JPS has an Emergency Operation Centre in each parish, from which technical teams will be deployed to carry out restoration work.
JPS is also reminding customers to turn off and unplug their electrical appliances if their supply is affected.
