Eight summoned to appear in court for Pharmacy Act breaches

A mention date of February 1, 2013 was set in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court after several persons were summoned on allegations of breaches of the Pharmacy Act.


They are Michael Banbury, Dalmar Johnson, Lurine Gordon, Dorothy Purge, Rudolph Stevens, Beulah Haynes, Sherlette Bailey-Clarke and Conrad George.

It has been alleged, that sometime in January 2011, the accused were operating an unregistered pharmacy off Half-Way Tree Road and selling pharmaceuticals.

Clerk of Court, Hansurd Lawson told Resident Magistrate Simone Maddix that he needed more time to peruse the documents in the matter that were recently made available to him.

He also said he needed to make full disclosure to the defendants and their counsels.

The matter was subsequently set for early February next year and the accused bound over to return then.

Michael Banbury, George Conrad, Beulah Haynes and Nevelle Ballen are being represented by attorney Abe Dabdoub.
