A man is now in police custody in connection with the murder of police corporal Ranford Durrant.
The police say the suspect was arrested on December 17, the same day the police corporal was shot and killed in the Windsor community in St. Ann.
Deputy Superintendent of police, Gervis Moore, said the suspect is expected to be questioned today or tomorrow.
Meanwhile, he said a search is still on for two other men, who were implicated in the cop’s murder.
They are Anthony Brown otherwise called ‘Bowie’, ‘Throat,’ ‘Puss’ and ‘Taliban’ and another man known only as ‘Kevin’.
Anthony Brown had escaped from the police lockup recently.
DSP Moore said the police are also continuing their search for another escapee, Desrick Morrison.
However, he noted that Morrison is not wanted in connection with corporal Durrant’s shooting death.
Corporal Durrant was attacked in the Windsor community while he was visiting the mother of his child.
