The Portmore police in St Catherine have arrested a man and seized an illegal firearm following a robbery at a night club on the Port Henderson main road.

The Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reports that about 9:30 last night, a lone gunman attempted to rob patrons at the night club. The patrons attacked him and called the police. A Browning 9-millimetre pistol with 13-nine millimetre rounds were seized.

The man’s identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
