Speaker of the House of Representatives Michael Peart is expected to issue a statement today, outlining outcomes from his meeting yesterday with the Public Defender about the overdue report on the 2010 West Kingston incursion.
It's understood that Peart has decided to provide the office of the public defender with resources to complete the report as quickly as possible.
The clerk of the Houses of Parliament, Heather Cooke will also monitor completion of the long-awaited report.

Last week, Peart disclosed that he had mandated Cooke to hold discussions with the Public Defender, Earl Witter, to find out how parliament could assist him in expediting the completion of the report.
Peart had also indicated that a meeting of the Commission of Parliament would be called this week, to discuss issues surrounding the operation of the Public defender’s office.
The protracted delay in submitting the report on the incursion has led to agitation from some groups for the public defender to be held accountable or removed.
More than 70 persons were killed in West Kingston by the security forces in 2010 after thugs aligned to then fugitive Christopher 'Dudus' coke reportedly engaged lawmen in a deadly gun battle to prevent a warrant being served on Coke.
The government has indicated that it is awaiting the public defender's report, to determine whether a commission of enquiry should be held to probe the actions of the security forces.
