Police say security system tight for Jazz festival

The police are seeking to assure patrons attending the three-day Jamaica Jazz and Blues Festival in Trelawny that adequate security systems are in place for an incident free staging of the event.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police, Devon Watkis, his team along with a team from the police traffic division led by SSP Radcliffe Lewis are on the ground to ensure a smooth traffic flow.
"The security, which includes the police and private security, is well rehearsed and we have sufficient monitoring mechanism to deal with any incident likely to confront us over the three days,” Watkis said.
He is also warning patrons to use the earmarked parking facilities instead of prohibited zones.
