Horace Fisher, Gleaner Writer
Mayhem hit May Pen, Clarendon last evening when gunmen invaded a bar on the town’s Main Street and fired a barrage of gunshots, killing one patron and injuring two others in the peak hour commute.
The dead man is only known as 'Bag Juice' of a 19 Miles address in Cross, Clarendon.
He was shot multiple times and died while undergoing treatment at the May Pen Hospital.
The two injured patrons were treated and sent home.
The brazen 8 p.m. shooting, sent May Pen shoppers and commuters scampering for cover.
It happened directly opposite the May Pen Clock Tower, which is about 400 metres away from the May Pen Police Station.
At the time of the incident police personnel were on patrol in proximity to the clock.
One of the injured patrons told The Gleaner that while watching television in the bar, two men walked in and immediately opened fire but in the ensuing chaos, he managed to escape.
