The Head of the Private Sector Organisation, Christopher Zacca, is urging public sector workers to put the country first in their negotiations with the government.
Speaking yesterday at the Kiwanis Club of North St. Andrew’s guest speaker night, Zacca said an agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will give the country a chance to start over.
He said all sectors are being called on to make sacrifices and encouraged the public sector unions to come on board.
Zacca, who was addressing the issue of ethics in business, also noted the important role of the Office of the Contractor General (OCG,) in helping to rid the country of corruption, which has been seen as a stumbling block to development.
He is supporting the call for a single anti-corruption agency with prosecutorial powers.
